"We have gotten great information from our interviews. The topic is child abuse in Greene County, and visually we are still figuring out what we can do," said Kara Mullen, Executive Producer and photographer on the show.
Reporter Savanna Steffen filled the same role on last year's "Homeless in the Heartland," and was a strong supporter of tackling the topic of child abuse.
"It is a huge problem here, where we live, and despite the visual obstacles, we think we will have a show that shines a light on the issue in a unique way," said Steffen.
The plan is to produce a 30-minute special. Adviser Dave Davis says that's flexible.
"The beauty of being an online program is that we can go a little over or under 30 minutes. We won't get too hung up on the length of the show, but we will watch to see that it has the right pacing," said Davis, who created HTV back in the fall of 1989.
The program, as yet unnamed, will go online later this spring.
